Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper is out for the first game of Thursday’s doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves due to a right elbow injury sustained from a pitch. Although X-rays showed no fracture, swelling and pain have left him day-to-day; manager Rob Thomson noted Harper is improving but hasn’t swung a bat yet. In Harper’s absence, Alec Bohm has moved to first base, while the Phillies, who lead the NL East, aim to maintain their momentum against the Braves.
