The Mets reinstated infielder Ronny Mauricio from the 10-day IL and subsequently optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse after a rehab assignment. Mauricio, who missed the entire 2024 season due to a torn ACL, played 10 games in the minors, recording four hits in 32 at-bats, and has experience at 3B, SS, and 2B. President of baseball operations David Stearns indicated that Mauricio will remain in the minors until the team has a need, emphasizing the importance of him building volume and getting back into baseball shape.
