The New York Jets are releasing punter Thomas Morstead, as reported by Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Morstead, 39, has had a lengthy career, including stints with the Saints, Falcons, and Dolphins before joining the Jets in March 2023. In a related move, the Jets have signed undrafted free agent punter Kai Kroeger, following Morstead’s performance in the 2024 season, where he played all 17 games, totaling 2,972 yards on 63 attempts.
