The Boston Red Sox are struggling to determine Rafael Devers’ position for the season after signing Alex Bregman, which initially transitioned Devers from third base to designated hitter (DH).
Following an injury to Triston Casas, the team requested Devers to consider another position change, which he found frustrating, stating, “They can’t expect me to play every single position out there.” Despite these challenges, Devers has begun to excel as a DH, recently hitting a 440-foot home run during a game against the Kansas City Royals.
