Right-hander Brandon Bielak underwent season-ending surgery and is expected to be ready for the 2026 Spring Training, following his release from a minor league deal with the Diamondbacks. After signing with Arizona in February, Bielak made two starts for Triple-A Reno, allowing three runs in 9 2/3 innings, before landing on the injured list on April 9. A former 11th-round draftee by the Astros, Bielak has a 4.63 ERA over 204 major league innings and may spend the rest of the year as a free agent, limited to minor league offers next winter.
