The Dallas Cowboys plan to make edge rusher Micah Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, with owner Jerry Jones indicating that a deal is close after discussions on years, guarantees, and total money. However, executive vice president Stephen Jones noted that there is still a gap between what they and Parsons believe is the right contract number. While Jones expressed optimism about reaching an agreement, he admitted there is currently no confidence that it will be finalized before training camp in July.
