Irv Smith Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Houston Texans, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 26-year-old tight end began his tenure with the Texans on their practice squad last September and was promoted to the active roster in December, playing five games without a reception in 2024. Originally a second-round pick by the Vikings in 2019, Smith has accumulated 109 catches for 973 yards and 10 touchdowns over 54 games with Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Houston.
