Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav will miss the first half of IPL 2025 due to a lumbar stress injury, currently undergoing rehab at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. While there is no confirmed return date, if Mayank meets fitness requirements, he could potentially play in the latter half of the tournament, a setback for LSG who retained him for a significant sum after his impressive performances in previous seasons and for India. Former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan, now LSG’s team director, emphasized the importance of Mayank being fully fit before returning to the field.
