2025 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot: 8 things to know, including Ichiro Suzuki’s shot at a unanimous selection

The BBWAA Hall of Fame ballot was revealed with 14 returning players and 14 first-timers, including Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia. There are separate votes for other players, such as Dick Allen and Ken Boyer. Ichiro is expected to be a sure bet for induction, while Sabathia’s chances are less certain. Billy Wagner is in his final year on the ballot and Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltrán are looking to make inroads. Alex Rodríguez, Manny Ramirez, and Omar Vizquel also have notable on-field accomplishments. The PED cloud has hindered Manny Ramírez and Omar Vizquel from entering the Hall of Fame, with both topping out around 35.7% and 52.6% of the vote, respectively. While Larry Walker, Todd Helton, and Scott Rolen eventually made it to the Hall after starting with low percentages, current candidates like Chase Utley and Bobby Abreu are showing potential for a rise. Newcomers to the ballot, including Dustin Pedroia and Ian Kinsler, may have a chance at Hall of Fame induction, but it remains uncertain beyond Ichiro and CC Sabathia. the text you have provided.
