The Detroit Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff expressed happiness for Thompson’s return, as he had to put in significant effort to recover from the issue that ended his rookie season early. Thompson, who was selected with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, averaged 8.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game last season and is now set to ramp up his basketball activity with the team.
