Valenzuela, who passed away at 63, was a key player for the Dodgers in the 1980s, winning Rookie of the Year and Cy Young awards in 1981. Known for “Fernandomania,” he remains the greatest Mexican-born player in MLB history, with the team retiring his No. 34 in 2023.
