The Oklahoma City Thunder will start the upcoming season without new player Isaiah Hartenstein, who sustained a non-displaced fracture in his left hand during a preseason game and will be re-evaluated in 5-to-6 weeks. Signed to a three-year, $87 million contract in July, Hartenstein was expected to be the starting center to address the team’s rebounding issues, as they finished 27th in the league in rebounding last season. With key players out due to injury, the Thunder will have to rely on their depth to start the 2024-25 season.
