The GMR Group, the new owner of Hampshire, is interested in acquiring a majority stake in the Southern Brave franchise in the Hundred, as confirmed by corporate chairman Grandhi Kiran Kumar. GMR’s parent company, GGPL, will initially hold a 53% stake in Hampshire Sport & Leisure Holdings Ltd after sealing a multimillion-pound deal, making Hampshire the first English county with overseas ownership.
