The New York Giants announced the release of defensive tackle Sam Roberts to make room for newly signed defensive back JT Woods on their 90-man roster. Roberts, 28, previously played five years at Northwest Missouri State and was a sixth-round draft pick by the Patriots in 2022. After stints with the Bears and Panthers, he joined the Falcons in 2025 before signing with the Giants this offseason. Last season, Roberts appeared in five games for the Falcons, recording 18 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack.
