According to Josh Kendall of The Athletic, the Atlanta Falcons are not planning to utilize DE James Pearce Jr. early in the season, as he has primarily been working with the third team during training camp. Pearce faces a potential suspension for at least eight games due to charges of aggravated battery and fleeing law enforcement. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler mentioned the team is preparing for this suspension while seeking pass-rushing assistance, especially after OLB Jalon Walker suffered a torn ACL. Pearce, a former standout at Tennessee, was drafted 26th overall and signed a four-year contract worth nearly $17 million.
