The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed linebacker Jahlani Tavai to a contract, while waiving LB Jared Bartlett due to an injury designation. Tavai, a second-round pick by the Lions in 2019, has previously played for the Patriots and was waived by them in March after recording 42 tackles and one forced fumble in 12 games during the 2025 season. He had a two-year extension with New England worth $4.4 million in 2022 and a subsequent three-year, $16 million extension before the 2024 season. Tavai’s addition strengthens the Jaguars’ linebacker corps as they prepare for the upcoming season.
