The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired outfielder Kameron Misner from the Royals for cash considerations, optioning him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley while designating Steward Berroa for assignment. Misner, who previously played for the Rays, hit .220 in 44 plate appearances with Kansas City before being DFA’d. The Phillies seek outfield depth, and Misner, more experienced than Berroa, replaces him as a speedy option. Berroa, who has been DFA’d multiple times, can be sent to Lehigh Valley if he clears waivers.
