The Atlanta Hawks traded former number one overall pick Zaccharie Risacher to the Dallas Mavericks as part of a three-team deal, which also involved sending All-Defensive wing Lu Dort to Atlanta and acquiring guard Ryan Nembhard. After being drafted first in 2024 and finishing second in rookie of the year voting, Risacher struggled in his second season, averaging just 9.6 points per game. The Hawks also sent two second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the transaction.
