Shohei Ohtani’s Knee Issue
Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani will miss his scheduled pitching start and the All-Star Game due to ongoing irritation in his left knee, requiring intervention. While he will continue as a designated hitter, he is set to have his knee drained and possibly receive a pain-relieving injection after the All-Star break. Ohtani’s knee problems began after a June 10 start, and team manager Dave Roberts emphasized the importance of addressing the injury proactively. Despite the setback, Ohtani has been performing at an MVP level this season, with a .290 batting average and a 1.79 ERA as a pitcher.
