Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper announced he will participate in Monday’s Home Run Derby, much to the delight of fans eager to see him compete for a second title. Interim manager Don Mattingly hinted that teammate Kyle Schwarber is also likely to join the Derby, despite previous concerns about a back issue. Schwarber won last year’s Derby for the National League in a historic “swing-off” against the American League. His confirmed participation adds excitement to the event.
