Chris MacFarland has continued to build the Nashville Predators’ roster with familiar faces by re-signing defenseman Justin Barron to a one-year, $1.575 million contract. The 24-year-old, a former first-round pick by the Colorado Avalanche, played 52 games for Nashville last season, recording nine assists and 60 blocked shots. Despite a mixed performance throughout his NHL career, Barron aims to establish a more significant role on the team. He is the younger brother of Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron.
