The San Jose Sharks have signed defenseman Michael Kesselring to a three-year contract worth $4.5 million per season after acquiring him from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for the 20th overall pick and the No. 27 pick in the NHL draft. Kesselring, a restricted free agent, struggled during his season with Buffalo, contributing only two assists in 34 games and being a healthy scratch in the playoffs. However, he achieved a career-best performance in the 2024-25 season with the Utah Mammoth, scoring seven goals and 22 assists.
