Jose Alvarado, a Brooklyn native, fulfilled his childhood dream by helping the New York Knicks win the 2026 NBA Championship against the San Antonio Spurs. After a standout high school career and a successful tenure at Georgia Tech, he went undrafted in 2021 but earned a spot with the New Orleans Pelicans. Rising to prominence with his defensive prowess, he became known as “Grand Theft Alvarado” and contributed significantly during his time in the NBA, culminating in his key role in the Knicks’ title victory.
