The Diamondbacks are set to select right-hander Jose Cabrera from Triple-A Reno for his MLB debut against the Twins. This move comes as the team faces rotation challenges due to Ryne Nelson landing on the 60-day IL with a forearm injury and Michael Soroka also being placed on the 15-day IL. Cabrera has a 3.69 ERA over 61 innings this season, although he is not ranked among Arizona’s top-30 prospects. Brandon Pfaadt is expected to be recalled from Triple-A to fill Soroka’s spot, but he is still adjusting to a starter’s workload.
