The Vegas Golden Knights promoted Ryan Craig from their AHL affiliate to replace John Tortorella as head coach after he led the team to the Stanley Cup Final. Craig, 44, has been with the organization since its inception and coached the Silver Knights to a strong season. General manager Kelly McCrimmon expressed confidence in Craig’s readiness for the NHL. Meanwhile, forward Mitch Marner discussed mental health challenges during his time with the Maple Leafs and center William Karlsson is set for wrist surgery after injury in the Cup Final.
