The Los Angeles Lakers’ decision regarding Austin Reaves this summer will reflect their confidence in a backcourt featuring Reaves and Luka Dončić, which has proven to be highly effective offensively. Concerns about their defensive capabilities exist, but team sources believe these issues are overstated, especially given their solid defensive performance last season. The Lakers ranked 12th in defensive rating during a key stretch, supporting their optimism. With further roster improvements, they aim to build on this potential for long-term success.
