The Angels have re-signed Taijuan Walker to a minor league contract, allowing him to pitch for Triple-A Salt Lake against the D-Backs’ affiliate. After opting out of a prior deal with the team, Walker is making $18MM from the Phillies, who remain responsible for his salary after his release in April. The Angels have a vacancy in their rotation following Jack Kochanowicz’s Tommy John surgery, with Sam Aldegheri starting in that spot against the Rays. Walker previously struggled in Philadelphia, posting an ERA over one run per inning this season.
