Detroit Lions defensive back Brian Branch tore his Achilles tendon in December during Week 15 of last season. Head coach Dan Campbell indicated that Branch is not expected to be ready for training camp but tentatively aims for a return in December, calling anything sooner a bonus. Branch, a former first-team All-American from Alabama, was drafted by the Lions in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and has played 12 games, recording 75 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
