The San Francisco Giants took an early lead against the Milwaukee Brewers with a two-run homer from Matt Chapman, but quickly fell apart as pitcher Landen Roupp allowed seven runs in the second inning, leading to a 16-2 defeat. Roupp struggled with his control, finishing with eight earned runs and raising his ERA to 4.22. Despite Jung Hoo Lee’s continued hitting success, the Giants’ pitching has faltered, allowing at least six runs in six of their last seven games. They face a challenging matchup next against former prospect Kyle Harrison, now a contender for the NL Cy Young.
