Hibernian forward Martin Boyle has been excluded from Australia’s 26-man squad for the World Cup, despite hopes of impressing head coach Tony Popovic during the training camp. Boyle, a 33-year-old with 41 caps, is among four players cut from the squad, while uncapped duo Tete Yengi and Cristian Volpato will travel to the United States. Yengi has been performing well in Japan, scoring six goals in 22 appearances, while Volpato’s switch to Australia was recently ratified by Fifa. Ante Suto from Hibs has also been released from the training squad.
