When 99-year-old Mel Fox visited Israel with family, he emphasized that his grandson, Adam Fox, should be a role model for Jewish kids in hockey. Adam, a Norris Trophy-winning defenseman for the Rangers, has inspired young players, much like past Jewish defensemen Alex Levinsky and Hy Buller. Buller became a celebrated player for the Rangers in the 1950s before retiring due to health issues. Mel hopes for another Stanley Cup and another Jewish Ranger like Adam before his 100th birthday in August.
