Hayes, who stands 6-2 and weighs 205 pounds, began his career at Southern Mississippi before transferring and earning first-team All-Southland Conference honors as a kickoff returner in 2024. In his two seasons at SE Louisiana State, he recorded 30 receptions for 299 yards, five touchdowns, and returned 39 kickoffs for 1,113 yards and three touchdowns. Hayes is primarily recognized for his skills as a kick returner.
