Kusal Mendis has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s new white-ball captain for the West Indies tour, leading both the ODI and T20I teams, replacing Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka respectively. Wanindu Hasaranga’s return from injury and Eshan Malinga’s inclusion provide a boost to the team, while Kamindu Mendis assumes the vice-captaincy role across all formats.
