London City Lionesses midfielder Marcetto suffers long-term injury

London City Lionesses midfielder Malou Marcetto is facing a lengthy recovery due to a Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury sustained during a match against Aston Villa. The 23-year-old Danish youth international, who joined the club from Madrid CFF in February and is contracted until summer 2028, will undergo surgery after a rehabilitation period. Unfortunately, she is expected to miss most of the 2026/2027 season.
