Sherman Lewis, a former NFL offensive coordinator, passed away at 83. He was an All-American halfback at Michigan State and finished third in Heisman voting in 1963, also excelling in track with three Big Ten titles. After playing in the CFL and AFL, Lewis began his coaching career at Michigan State in 1969, later joining the 49ers, Packers, Vikings, and Lions before retiring after the 2009 season with Washington.
