On October 16, 2021, Danila Klimovich made history by scoring his first North American professional goal for the Abbotsford Canucks during a 5-3 loss to the Bakersfield Condors. Previously, he clinched a championship for the Minsk Zubry in Belarus and was later drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Klimovich, who has drawn inspiration from Russian hockey stars, aims to realize his dream of becoming an NHL player. Now 23, he had a strong 2025-26 season with 34 points in 63 games, continuing his development in North America.
