The NHL’s Alumni Association announced the passing of former defenseman Paul Boutilier at 63. He began his NHL career with the New York Islanders after being drafted 21st overall in 1981, contributing to their 1983 Stanley Cup win. Over his career, he played for several teams, including the Bruins, North Stars, Rangers, and Jets, totaling 27 goals and 110 points in 288 NHL games. Post-retirement, Boutilier coached at various levels, most recently with the QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats and Québec Remparts.
