Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid, Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon, and Tampa Bay Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov are finalists for the Hart Memorial Trophy, awarded to the NHL’s most valuable player. McDavid led the points race with 138 points, followed by Kucherov with 130 and MacKinnon at 127. MacKinnon is seeking his second Hart win after previously winning in 2023-24, while McDavid, a three-time winner, trails only Wayne Gretzky in total Hart awards. Kucherov, a former Hart winner, was a finalist last year but lost to Connor Hellebuyck.
