The Tigers have reinstated infielder Zach McKinstry from the 10-day injured list, leading to the designation of Zack Short for assignment. Short, recently acquired from the Nationals, went hitless in three at-bats and was brought in to fill gaps caused by injuries to multiple infielders. With McKinstry back, he resumes his multi-positional role, while Short may clear waivers and has the option to elect free agency. The Tigers continue to manage a light infield due to ongoing injuries, despite recent additions.
