Astros GM Dana Brown has stated that third base is the team’s biggest priority this offseason, with the possibility of losing Alex Bregman to free agency. He has had productive discussions with Bregman’s agent about reaching a new agreement. The Astros are hesitant to offer contracts exceeding six or seven years, which may impact their ability to retain Willy Adames. Adames is open to changing positions for the right offer from a contending team. The Angels are close to signing Kyle Hendricks to a one-year deal worth $2.5 million. Hendricks had a 5.92 ERA in the 2024 season.
