BOSTON — Prior to Game 7 of the Sixers-Celtics playoff series, Boston’s Jayson Tatum was ruled out due to “left knee stiffness,” despite his earlier participation in the series. Meanwhile, Sixers’ Paul George is dealing with an unexpected illness, missing the morning shootaround, while Joel Embiid is expected to play following his appendectomy. Tatum had averaged 23.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in the series before his injury. Coach Nick Nurse indicated George’s condition might be serious, though he hopes George can still participate.
