The Houston Texans have signed linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair to a three-year contract extension, securing his position with the team through the 2029 NFL season. Al-Shaair, who had a standout 2025 season with 103 tackles and earned his first Pro Bowl selection, was previously in the final year of a $34 million deal. The Texans opted to retain him despite trade interest from the Dallas Cowboys. This extension follows another significant offseason move, as the Texans also secured star pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. with a record contract.
