Cruzeiro will debut in the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores on Tuesday, April 7, at 9 p.m. (Brasília time), facing Barcelona de Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The club returns to the tournament after seven years, aiming for their third continental title, having previously won in 1976 and 1997. Coach Artur Jorge has made lineup changes following a recent defeat, and Cruzeiro remains the only Brazilian team never eliminated in the group stage across 17 appearances.
