Braves infielder Brett Wisely has cleared waivers and was sent to Triple-A Gwinnett, remaining in the organization without the option to elect free agency. He was designated for assignment during Atlanta’s Opening Day roster adjustments, as they opted for Kyle Farmer as their final bench player. Wisely, a .214/.265/.319 hitter in the MLB, has been more productive in the minors with a .275/.372/.433 average. He joins a group of depth infielders at Gwinnett, with only Nacho Alvarez Jr. holding a 40-man roster spot.
