Jerry Jones Addresses Cowboys’ Interest in George Pickens

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed confidence in the team’s long-term plans for wide receiver George Pickens, who is currently under the franchise tag worth $27.3 million. Although there have been no negotiations for a multiyear deal ahead of the July 15 deadline, Jones described the franchise tag process as “normal” and noted that it will “play itself out.” Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer also reassured that they have plans for Pickens, who is coming off a strong season with 93 catches and nine touchdowns. Both Jones and Schottenheimer emphasized that attendance for the offseason program is voluntary and not a concern at this time.
