In response to the controversial Africa Cup of Nations final, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced reforms to restore trust in its impartiality, according to President Patrice Motsepe. The title dispute between Senegal and Morocco remains unresolved, with Senegal appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Meanwhile, CAF’s General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba has stepped down, and Samson Adamu will serve as acting secretary. Motsepe also confirmed the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco and announced the Africa Cup will expand to 28 teams for the 2025 edition.
