The Washington Commanders have signed former Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford to a one-year deal as they bolster their roster, which previously featured only one running back, Bill Croskey-Merritt. Ford, a fifth-round pick in 2022, had a solid four-year tenure with the Browns, amassing 1,463 rushing yards and 647 receiving yards, scoring a total of 12 touchdowns. Last season, he was the third-string back behind Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson. This move comes as the Commanders aim to strengthen their offensive backfield ahead of the upcoming season.
