According to Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers have re-signed outside linebacker Brenton Cox Jr. to a one-year contract valued at $2.5 million, keeping him with the team after he was set to become a restricted free agent. Cox, who originally joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent from Florida in 2023, has been with the team for three years under a previous contract worth $2.6 million. In the 2025 season, he played in four games, recording five tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble. This re-signing allows the Packers to retain Cox at a lower cost than the tender he would have received as a restricted free agent.
