Grant Nelson is no longer with the Brooklyn Nets after his 10-day contract expired, despite positive remarks from coach Jordi Fernandez about his performance. The 27-year-old, who went undrafted from Alabama, averaged 17 points, six rebounds, and three blocks over four games, but the Nets opted not to extend his contract, leaving an open roster spot. Nelson retains his G League rights with the Nets but has no NBA rights, allowing other teams to sign him without restrictions. The Nets may consider converting one of their two-way players to fill the roster gap as they prepare for the final stretch of the season.
