The Charlotte Hornets will send the Miami Heat a 2026 second-round pick as part of the compensation for their 2024 trade involving Terry Rozier, who was acquired in exchange for Kyle Lowry and a 2027 first-round pick. Rozier is currently on paid leave due to facing charges related to a gambling conspiracy from 2023, and his $24.9 million salary will continue until the league’s investigation is concluded. He is set to become a free agent this offseason as he is on an expiring contract. The Heat were unaware of Rozier’s legal issues at the time of the trade.
